Para-I participant Signe: “The most fun stage”
Para-I klassen samlar 14 deltagare under etapp 3
During Stage 3 in Tenhult, 14 participants are taking part in the Para-I class. This class is designed for individuals with an intellectual disability and is open to all ages. One of the participants in Stage 3 is Signe Lodin.
– This stage was the most fun, said Signe, who has participated in Stage 1, 2, and now also Stage 3.
Helena Hehlke, project manager for para orienteering at Swedish Orienteering, is one of those responsible for the Para-I Lounge at O-Ringen. It's a meeting place for participants before and/or after their course.
– We introduced the Para-I Lounge last year in Oskarshamn. Here, we have activities, including a miniature PreO course, says Helena.
The Para-I class has an open start time, and timing is done using SportIdent.
– It’s an open class. However, the participants enjoy comparing their times when they meet up here in the Para-I Lounge after their course. We've learned that the target group would like a competition class with an award ceremony, Helena adds.
